Terms and Conditions

These terms explain the rules for using Saylo safely, respectfully, and lawfully.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using Saylo, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What Saylo does

Saylo helps users practice languages with real people through profiles, partner discovery, connection requests, chat, scheduled practice sessions, and voice practice experiences.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Saylo. If local law requires a higher age to use social or communication services, you must meet that higher age requirement.

4. Accounts

  • You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date.
  • You may not impersonate another person or create misleading profiles.
  • You may not sell, transfer, or share your account with others.

5. User conduct

When using Saylo, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, bully, exploit, or abuse other users.
  • Post or send hateful, sexual, violent, illegal, or harmful content.
  • Share another person's private information without permission.
  • Use Saylo for spam, scams, fraud, advertising, or solicitation.
  • Record or redistribute private voice sessions without consent.
  • Attempt to bypass safety systems, rate limits, or access controls.
  • Use Saylo in a way that violates applicable law.

6. User content

You keep ownership of the content you provide to Saylo, such as profile text, messages, and profile photos. You grant Saylo permission to host, display, transmit, and process that content as needed to operate, improve, and protect the service.

7. Safety and moderation

Saylo may review reports, restrict accounts, remove content, limit features, or suspend access if we believe these terms have been violated or if action is needed to protect users, the service, or legal compliance.

8. Voice sessions

Voice practice is intended for respectful language learning. You are responsible for what you say and share. Do not disclose sensitive personal information during conversations with people you do not know.

9. No learning guarantee

Saylo can help you practice, but we do not guarantee fluency, test scores, language outcomes, partner availability, or uninterrupted access to any feature.

10. Third-party services

Saylo may rely on third-party providers for authentication, hosting, storage, notifications, email, and voice transport. Their services may be subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

11. Termination

You may stop using Saylo at any time. You may request account deletion from the Account Deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or create risk for Saylo or other users.

12. Disclaimers

Saylo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Saylo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Saylo after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
